What To Wear When... School Lets Out!

Summer!, Beaches, Pools, Shorts, Bikinis, and a whole lotta Sunscreen...

Summer is definitely my favorite season. I practically LIVE at the pool in the summertime. I love wearing my tankini, sitting in the sun and just relaxing. I also love to pic out a special tree to sit under it's shade and read a nice book under. But I'm not going to do all of that, in Jeans and a t-shirt?????

Well, never fear, for Ms. Fashionista is here! I can tell you what to where on your first day of Summer fun.

1. Wear Capris!

It's too early for shorts, but too late for pants! Capris  are right in between. They are definetly fit for mid-major season fashion! You can wear capris in the fall, and in the spring!

2. Sandal Season!

No more teachers, no more books. Time to bring out, some new cute new looks! You'll be chanting that out of the classroom and into the mall! Don't wear sneakers, but  don't wear flip flops. Strapped sandals are perfect.

3. Short-Sleeve-Stuff!

You can't wear long-sleeve, but you also can't wear tank tops, or NO-SLEEVE. Short-sleeves are the best, until June of course. Until then, you can rock capris, short-sleeves and sandals!

Thanks for listening to my stupid opinions!

Going to Prom: Hair

Well, that season is coming up...I'm pretty sure. But even if your prom is years away, it wouldn't hurt to plan. After all, Prom is one of the biggest events of your entire LIFE!

It can get really frustrating to figure out some parts but no matter! so, let's plan!

For starters, your hair can't be disgusting, it's one of the most important parts. Well, technically EVERY part of the outfit is important, but never trust technicalities. EVER. So, back to the subject, your hair has to look nice.  I have dreadlocks in my hair so if you're like me, your options got cut waaayyy short.
So, here are the options. There are options I classify as good, and bad. The good ones have a happy sign, ^_^, and the bad ones have a sad sign, :[ ,

Dreadlocks:

  • Wear your hair in a high ponytail with small ringlets of hair on the sides dangling down. ^_^

Wear your hair down with nothing done to it. :[

Wear you hair down in a ponytail with bangs. ^_^ or :[

    No Dreadlocks:

Wear your hair in a high ponytail with small ringlets of hair on the sides dangling down. ^_^

Wear your hair down with nothing done to it. :[

Wear your hair down in a ponytail with bangs. ^_^ or :[

Wear your hair in a french braid.

Wear your hair in lots of braids.

    Wear your hair with barrettes.

Well, that's all I have for today. I can't fit everything into one post, so tell me what you thought of this post and I'll do more. If you hated it, then I'll never do one like this again! Bye!! ^_^

    Love,

What to Wear When...Going to a Quinceanera

How to look amazing at a Quinceanera, and yet not steal the show.

Quinceanera: (in Latin America and among Latinos) a celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday and her transition from childhood to adulthood, typically involving a mass followed by a party.

Here are some dresses you don't want to wear if you aren't the star of the show:

What's Wrong?

First rule out pink. It's too bright, so no bright colors. White is an exception, though. It's bright, but classy. Black is okay too, also classy. Also, no puffy dresses. It calls too much attention. Stick with some small, and sleek. Remember when it comes to these kinds of parties, stick to the 3 S's:

Slick, Sleek and Chic!

*Yeah, I know the last one isn't an "s" word, but who cares right!

Take a Ring Check on Winter Fashion

Spring Fashion Is in, most likely because Spring is coming soon. Yet, it's not quite here yet. March-June is the time for Spring trends, yet Winter trends don't die out that quickly. Summer trends, however, fade pretty fast considering the fact that fall colors are REALLY different than Summer's...

But, we'll quiet down on that part and take a peek on the difference between spring fashion and winter fashion.

Gothic Gold

Ya know, going Goth isn't that bad. Doesn't mean emo, but I mean it can.

Black is not a color that's banned from the world of Fashion, it's more like the Vanellope to our Sugar Rush (#Wreck-It Ralph). In the end, you'll have to accept it, it's like a princess. It leads you into the right path.

So embrace it!

What to Wear When...Going To a Parade!

In honor of our beloved Martin Luther King, I have devoted my time to telling you what to wear at the next parade! Obviously you didn't wear something as fabulous as me, but let me show you how you can!

First, you need to wear skinny jeans. Yes, SKINNY jeans. Not the floppy, around-the-house momma jeans. You need the real deal. For A+ people.

Next you need a dress/skirt. To go over your jeans. I wore yellow as my signature color for the day.

Finally you shoes! Your shoes totally need to match with your outfit. And remember: White doesn't go with EVERYTHING. Just like black, doesn't go with EVERYTHING.

A New Semester Outfit!

So, going back to school after Winter Break is hard, unless you have an amazing outfit to go back to school with! If you are a kid then this is the outfit for you!

This outfit is great for school-related things! It's a black dress, with an attached plaid red/white/black skirt. With a white collar and a skirt-matching tie, this outfit looks so cute!

What are your favorite school outfit to wear? What does your outfit HAVE to have?

That's what the comments are for!

What To Wear When... Going to A Christmas Party

Xmas Party = Xmas Fashion!

You need to stand out at your Christmas party. No one wants to look like a slob on the big night! Here are some tips to rock some great Xmas colors and fashion trends!

Hair:

1. Keep it down. (Ponytails are OK, but don't put them too high!)

2.  No headbands! (Headbands will keep some of your hair in place, sometimes the really hurt! Let your hair just "flow," so no headbands, barrettes, nothing!)

3. Don't have you hair in you face. (Usually i love when my hair is in my face because I like bangs, but on Christmas? NO! I have to do my hair very perfect and so do you! Don't have your hair always in you face so you can't see.)

Makeup:

1. Don't have too much on! (Too much makeup looks freaky and totes wrong. You need to have as little makeup on as possible (if not none!), to look like you don't have any on.)

2. No mascara! (Makeup is OK, but no mascara. It'll look like your trying too hard. Plus, it's too much makeup to put on and its kind of a hassle. Save it for New Years.)

3. Give those eyebrows a trim! (For Christmas, you need to look good! and thick, bushy eyebrows will NOT get you there! Well, unless you're a boy, then it works, kind-of.)

Clothes:

1. Dress up like Santa! (It's OK to have 2 Santas on Christmas! Just make sure that your partner knows so that there won't be 2 Santas at your party. It'll look tacky.)

2. Don't have too short dresses! (Don't look too sexy at your party! No one likes a slutty hostess! Dress regular, but nice. Know what I mean?)

3. No ugly sweaters! (I don't care what your momma said! That sweater is ugly and you know it! So, DON'T WEAR IT!)

Guys 4 Fashion: NOT GAY

You might think guys who are into fashion and being a perfectionist in style is gay, but it totally isn't! You may think that guys who dress nice, and who wear their hair different, or talk like Tyler Oakley will be gay but who cares right! Guys with great fashion sense in my book are A+ people! (Note to self: Start using the phrase "A+ people" more often.) Don't understand, totally lost? I'll show you:

See what I mean?

Santa Gals, Santa Guys

A Question to Ponder About:

If you are a parent with a husband/wife and kid (s), which partner should dress up as Santa?

This is a question that I'm not going to answer, but you are! Leave answers in the comments section to respond!

What city is absolutely filled with Fashion? Vegas? L.A.? Paris?

Container Park: A New Discovery on Fashion

So, yesterday I went to a new park near Fremont in Las Vegas called Container Park. It was kind of like Las Vegas Premium Outlets; an outside mall. I was walking around, and there were some cool stores that I wanted to talk to you guys about...

First, I'll name the stores:

Art Box: www.artboxdesigns.com

American Vagabond: www.AmericanVagabond.com

Neon Holiday Bazaar: www.NeonBazaarlv.com

Now those are all I have right now, but I'm definitely coming back to Container Park with money next time!

I HIGHLY recommend Container Park. It has food, entertainment, really cool stores and a big playground for kids! I hope all of you Vegas gals and guys take my advice and go to Container Park!

Address:

707 E. Fremont Street. Suite # 2320  & 7th st.

Thanks!

When to Wear When... Going to a Thanksgiving Party!

It may seem like you don't have to wear anything that special, but you do!

Thanksgiving is a great day to be thankful for something, so be thankful that you don't look like a mess at the party!

Something good to wear is maybe...

 A light orange dress

A beige shirt and nice jeans

Or whatever looks good to you!

Make sure to have fall colors. Fall colors are beige, brown, orange, darkish red, and darkish yellow.

A good fall outfit example is:

Get into the Fashion Spirit!

So fall is here and you know what that means!

You can finally rock colors you couldn't in the summer!

Fall colors like orange, light red, and yellow are great to show off. you can totally pull them off the season. But, you don't have to abandon all of your summer styles! Mixing in the right colors with the two different seasons can work! But you HAVE to make sure that they're the right colors.
